Selenite Market

Messaging and spam prevention

Messaging artists requires a signed-in account. Messages share your entered name and your account email with the artist so they can reply. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help detect automated submissions. Turnstile processes browser and device signals under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. We also keep temporary message-rate counters to limit abuse.

Artists can archive messages, mark them as spam, or move them to Trash. Trash can be restored until the artist chooses permanent deletion.

Information you provide

Selenite Market may receive account information such as your name and email, storefront and listing information submitted by sellers, messages sent through the marketplace, and order or shipping information needed to support a purchase.

Payments

Payment-card information is handled by Stripe during checkout. Selenite Market stores payment and order identifiers needed to track transactions, but the marketplace does not need to store your full card number in its application database.

Sign-in providers

If you choose a supported third-party sign-in method, such as Google, the provider may send Selenite Market account information needed to authenticate you and connect that sign-in method to your account.

How information is used

Information may be used to operate accounts and storefronts, process and document orders, support auctions, deliver messages, prevent abuse, maintain security, and improve the marketplace.

Sellers and service providers

Information necessary to fulfill an order may be available to the independent artist who sold the work. Selenite Market also relies on service providers such as Stripe and authentication or infrastructure providers where needed to operate the service.

Retention and security

Selenite Market uses reasonable technical and operational measures to protect marketplace data and retains information as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain transaction records, address disputes, and meet legal requirements.
